Angsana Velavaru, also known as‚ Turtle Island in Dhivehi, is located on a vast private lagoon in the Maldives. The resort is located in Dhaalhu Atoll, only 40 minutes by seaplane from Velana International Airport. In the Maldives, the resort has a sister property under a different brand. Angsana Velavaru provides you with a choice of five meal plans. Dine, Play, Style, Plus, and Max. Each option caters to your inner traveller. Whether you want a gourmet foodie experience or a mix of spa and other activities, at Angsana Velavaru, there are five dining options. Magoo, a Maldivian-inspired al fresco dining concept, is open for business. Azzurro, a Mediterranean overwater restaurant, is also available. Funa serves lobster, and Kaani offers all-day dining. The Kuredhi restaurant, bar, and art gallery offer a delightful dining experience by the poolside. Guests can participate in a floral planting activity. Guests are also invited to gather broken, yet alive, chalky coral stalks and attach them to metal frames sunk just off the island's edge to help mitigate the effects of El Nino's 2016 coral bleaching. Despite the slow growth of coral, the Maldives ecosystem plays a crucial role in the country's economy, making preservation efforts highly valued.
