Aptly named after the Pandanus and Mangroves with aerial roots growing around the island, Moofushi (moo with the meaning roots and fushi referring to the island) is a beautiful little island. You can stroll along the powdery white beach surrounding the island within just ten minutes. This island opened in 1990 has 62 rooms in simple traditional Maldivian architecture designed to blend in with the nature thus providing a feeling of tranquility and serene. Moofushi has an Italian management and is considered as a four star resort.
