Bathala Island Resort

Bathala is a pure and simple paradise for scuba divers and snorkellers alike. This Maldives resort boasts one of the best house reefs in the area frequented by a host of exciting marine life including grey reef sharks, nurse sharks, manta rays and eagle rays. There are six entry and exit points for direct access from the spectacular white sand beach. What’s more, there are more than 50 dive sites in the vicinity to explore. Start your day by diving with grey reef sharks on the house reef, exploring coral-encrusted caves and overhangs or taking a morning boat excursion to a fascinating thila or wreck.

If you’re already a certified diver the friendly Werner Lau Dive Centre team can kit you out with equipment and then you’re free to dive the house reef with your buddy at your leisure, or if you’re a novice you can learn to dive with us. Perhaps you want to expand your experience, skills and knowledge with a diving course, taking you to the next level of certification. Bathala offers a comprehensive range of SSI, CMAS and PADI courses for all levels, from beginners courses right up to divemaster level. There are also daily dive boat excursions to the incredible dive spots across Ari Atoll.
